How to troubleshoot a full hard drive from the command line (CentOS)

Here’s a handy little command you’re going to want to save 🙂

Start the root

it will return a list of all the folders at the root (/)

From here, you can quickly see where all of your “gigs” are running off to

Change directory into the suspecting folder, in this example it is under “/var”

all you’re going to do is change the command (just a little bit), by adding a dot in front of the slash to start the search at the current directory

Rinse and repeat!

Just do the last 2 commands you ran over and over until you find the culprit stealing all of your gigs

Cheers!
